Whisker Wellness Ranch is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, treating, sterilizing, and finding loving homes for cats in Montenegro. We believe that every cat deserves a chance at a happy, healthy life.
Please note: We are not a shelter. We operate with very limited resources, space, and capacity. Unfortunately, we cannot take in all cats in need, but we will do everything possible to help within our means.
Trap-Neuter-Return program to control the feral cat population through humane trapping, sterilization, and safe return to their communities. We primarily use the free sterilization program from the wonderful Kotor Kitties foundation, as well as paid surgeries in some cases. Even when using the free program, there are still costs for providing temporary housing and care for the cats.
We rescue cats and kittens from the street, treat them when needed, and help them recover. Kittens are vaccinated and receive care as required. Without sponsors, we cover these costs ourselves — every rescue, treatment, and recovery is funded from our own pockets.
We prepare cats and kittens for adoption and arrange their travel to forever homes abroad. With extensive experience in international adoptions, we handle everything needed to safely get them to their new families in other countries.
